gotta start somewhere!

I am always appreciated my body in motion. I was a good swimmer in high school and a VERY poor runner. In college, I worked out regularly- really rocking the elliptical machine. After graduating from college and moving to Brooklyn, running became my exercise of choice.

About three years ago, I was running about 25 miles a week. Then I got pregnant. I was exausted, nauseous, and just couldn't do anything. After having my daughter, during my maternity leave, I started running again. Once I went back to work. I can't find the time.

Time.

So this blog is me starting somewhere. Many of the blogs that I read are stay at home mom's who are able to work and schedule their lives in a way that they can fit in a run. When I am done with my work day, I go home to a husband who has just spent all day with our daughter and is usually in need of a break. Some days he is able to get things done around the house- other days he is just holding on.

I also want to spend time with our daughter and really enjoy her baby-ness. I know it will not last forever. But, if I don't start to take time out for myself now,  I never will.

Here is to starting over.
