5am: you come so quickly

My first attempt at a 5am workout did not go so well.

Monday, I woke up at 4:45am and fed Lucy. I looked at my clock and decided to set my alarm for 6am. I thought that there was no way that my daughter would be able to eat and then fall back asleep enough for me to put her back in her crib in the 15 minutes I needed before my alarm went off.

So today, I tried again.

Lucy ate at 4:15 this morning. I was able to feed her and put her back in her crib. She fell back into a deep sleep before my alarm went off for the 5am wake-up call. Who are we kidding. It was also possible for me to fall asleep for another 20 minutes.

So, I woke up. Put my contacts in, put the coffee on, changed into a tank top, undies, and a sports bra. Perfect yoga wear for my living room. The cats were crazy- happy to see me.

I did a yoga DVD for about 20 minutes, took a break for a cup of coffee, and then did a pilates video through our netflix on the wii. (name dropping brand names like crazy- sorry!)

I made lunch, ate breakfast, showered and heard Lucy shout out for me at 6:45. I call it a successful first stop!
